Hi everyone,
I'm having a pesky little problem with sorting my report.Ã,  I'm sure it's an easy fix.

I have the following fields:
Caller Name, Country, State, City, Count(CallID) AS Call Volume

I'm trying to sort the report in descending order on Call Volume but it won't let me.Ã,  It wants to sort on Caller Name in ascending order.Ã,  How can I force it to sort on Call Volume in descending order?

Thanks for your help

Update:  Sorting works properly when I run the tabular query but it still does not render correctly in the report.

BIsrik

one way is to put the call volume data item in top of the tabular model and in the query.

Srik,
Thanks for your response.  I have tried treating the data item as a dimension and making it a key but it still didn't work.  I don't have access to RS right now but I'll try moving the data item to the top of the query and let you know how it goes.  Thanks again.

Srik,
Moving the call volume to the top fixed the soring problem but now the total call volume for the entire report is showing 1.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Problem solved.

I added an additional data item to the query and removed the aggregate function from the report layout and replaced it with the new data item defined as: Total([Call volume] for report).

Thanks and applause to BIsrik!
