Vendor Functions

Hi all,

How can make use of vendor functions while creating variables, whenever i use any vendor based functions , while creating variable its report studio giving validation error?

any idea?

Hi vsud,

When you set up a variable, this is being defined at the Query level of the report, rather than at the tabular level, so vendor-specific functions are not available for you to use.  One option would be to add some data items to your tabular level which call the vendor functions as part of their definition, pass these up to your query, and use these in defining your variable.
