Re promt not working in portal tab

Hi,

I have a problem with at reprompt-button that doen't work properly for a report on a portal page. It is displayed by a Cognos Viewer and when pressing the button after changing the promt values nothing happens.

When running the same report from Report Studio or from the folder there the report actually is saved everything works fine.

Do anyone have a suggestion what the problem can be?

Just a shot in the dark. Do you have any custom javascript items in the report? If so, try removing them and trying again.

Java scripts in the report caused the problem. They worked fine in prompt pages but not when they were placed in the report page.

You should also know that JS behaves differently in report viewer (from the designer) and in a portal tab.  It's weird.
