Metrics Studio 8.3 - User Defined Columns

In metric studio “Tools â€" Default Display Settings”, it allows you to create user defined columns. You can then select the default columns you want to display. When you select all the standard columns, including the one I created, it displays these as the default on all scorecards.

The question I have is that I only want this user defined column to appear on one scorecard, not on all scorecards.

Even if I create the user defined column, and move it to my available columns, and then map it to a new metric type, it then does not show the new column I added. I can manually capture data into this new column I created, but when I recalculate derived values, it still does not appear.

Is there a way to link it to a specific scorecard only?

Thanks

I mananged to get hold of Cognos themselves.

This was their response

A similar query was raised about four years ago but the outcome was that this is design intent. User Defined Columns are not associated to specific scorecard or metric type.
When you select User Defined Columns for display, it applies to all metric types and that is the way it has always worked. I can submit an enhancement request but, as I said, I cannot tell when or if it will be included in a future release of the product.
