Dear all,

We have a problem with setting security for users that belong to Authors role, but should have only Consumer rights on other packages.

We have several packages used by different groups of users. We want to set permissions in such a way that group X can author reports in only one package, but run all the reports in others as well.

If we don't set access privileges on the package in FM users from group X can not even run the reports. When they have access rights, then they can also author them and we would like to avoid this.

We used RUN AS THE OWNER option for some reports, but this option required the "owner" to renew the credentials with every change of password. What happens when the "owner" is not at work and the password expires (Active Directory)?

Is there any way to achieve this in another manner?

Many thanks in advance!
