Dear all,

I wonder how & when Contributor "components" interact with Analyst libraries. Can any of you clarify thoughts below?

Thank you!

- SYNC step : CAC accesses the template library (changed app definition) and compares it to XML definition stored within content store. Job server itself actually does not access the template.

- GTP step : no access to the template is required

- Running analyst macro from CTB : now I am a bit confused. I believe that on the job server a new Analyst instance is raised to execute the macro. However, what if cluster contains several job servers? Which one raises the instance? How is it with access to Analyst libraries?

I think that Analyst Macro's run from the CAC (through a Contributor Macro) are run on the Application Server. This means that in order to run Analyst Macro's from Contributor, Analyst should also be installed on the Application server with access to the FileSys.ini file that locates the Analyst libraries, and off course access and rights to the databaseserver that physically holds your model and its files.

Jobs triggered by running Macro's are assigned to a Job Server (cluster) in the same way other jobs are run from CAC.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
