Newbie here so forgive me if i ask questions that have already been asked.

Trying to identify cognos related tasks in Windows Server 2019 Task manager and in Powershell using tasklist command.

Is there documentation where i can find this information? Or we have to rely on tribal knowledge?

The purpose of this is we're implementing some monitoring in our environments and would love to be able to identify any cognos related process/task from a tasklist output in powershell/Windows command line.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

The processes to look out for are java.exe and bibustkservermain.exe. You may not see any bibustkservermain.exe processes if you are only using Dynamic Query, but you will if you are using Compatible Query.
The number of java.exe processes will vary depending on which parts of the architecture are installed and running on that particular server.

Cheers!

MF.
