Official/accepted term to describe Visualizations' "shimmering" while rendering?

I'm putting together some new Dashboard user's training materials.  There are times when, after dropping data items into a  Visualization, the thumbnail version of the Visualization will shimmer or recycle or fade in/out as it is preparing to render the actual Visualization.

I'd really like to be able to tell my audience that the "Visualization will refresh.  But, you may need to wait until the thumbnail image stops [doing whatever that movement is called]."

I know it's a myopic question, but does anyone know if there is a sanctioned word for that interim "shimmering" effect?

[I'm considering trademarking "Charti-Twinkle" if there isn't already an official term that I can use   ;D.]
