Hi All,

Apologies if i am posting an generic error but have been stuck with this issue for quite a long time now so thought of posting it for some help.

Please find the attached file for the error which i am facing, it says "QE-DEF-0359 The query contains a reference to at least one object '[Base Amount]' that does not exist" but when i am checking my query the data item "[Base Amount]" is present. i have mirated this report from 8.4 to 10.2.1 and its not working in 10.2.1. its working fine in 8.4.

i am unable to figure out what exactly is the issue. Request you to guide me which area i need to check so i can resolve this issue.

Regards

Raghuvir

Hi,

Please find attached file.

How many queries does your report have? The error looks like it is pinpointing the SIE query as the culprit here. Can you provide some detail on what queries are involved in the report and how they are used?

Beat me to it MF - have you tried running the tabular data for query 'SIE'?

It wouldn't do me much good as I don't have the package. :(

Hi MFGF,

There are 5 queries in the report. i am attaching a file with a printscreen of list of queries. i know its hard to find the problem just by looking at the query but just guide me on what area i need to do a check.

The error message that you posted earlier suggests that the problem is in the first query (SIE) which is at the top of your diagram.

Yep - exactly what Chris says. What items are in SIE? You also need to make sure that they exactly match the items in SIE-998 (in terms of the number of items and their overall data types) since you are unioning them.

Cheers!

yah exactly...the culprit is the SIE query, i have deleted rest of the queries and just working with the SIE query now to fix it. this report is working fine in cognos version 8.4 , but when i have migrated the report to cognos 10.2.1, facing issues.

does the error have anything to do with moving it from 8.4 to 10.2.1 ?
