Hi,

any news if or when Event Studio is going to end? Is there any announcement like for the 11.1 major release?

Regards,
Reinhard

I heard nothing about end of life for Event Studio, but I don't think we will be seeing a new event studio UI in any upcoming release, so it will probably still exist as a legacy studio for the time being. Fingers crossed for a new shiny event studio UI soon though ;-)

Dredging this up because I haven't found any good information about it...

I see documentation stating that Event Studio works in IE (dead or dying) and Firefox (will never be installed here because it's expensive and not secure   ::)).

Has anyone here seen any information regarding how Cognos will allow data-driven reporting (and other tasks) after the demise of IE?  Will I need to accomplish this with external processes involving the Cognos SDK?

OK.  One more try since my workplace will be removing IE11 from workstations in June.

Are there valid options for running Event Studio after IE11 is gone?

Hi Doug,

I can see and open Event Studio in both Chrome and Edge, but the way the main page renders is a mess. When I try opening it in Edge running in Internet Explorer mode, I can't even get the page to open. Firefox is the only game in town for me for Event Studio, currently. This is in 11.1.7. I haven't tried in 11.2.1 or 11.2.2 - I don't have access to those currently.

Edit. I just read a post from Sethron that indicated it's working properly in Chrome there:

I'll dig deeper...

Cheers!

Thanks.  I guess I was working from old information.  At first glance, it looks fine in Chromium (Edge and Chrome).  I'll get around to editing an agent in the next couple of weeks and see how it goes.
