Scheduled Reports w/ Default xl Format Load in HTML/xlsx when Selected Manually

Only some users are experiencing a scheduled report loading in HTML as a UTF-8 xlsx file when they select it manually.  I have checked that the report setting is indeed set to Excel or Excel Data on the reports. When I select the report myself, it populates a download for me to select in normal Excel. Our preferences are also similar for defaults.

Hi,

I'm guessing this is a result of the way these users have xlsx files set to open by default on their local devices or in their browsers. I would check the default apps by file type setting on their machines, and/or check to see if they have any browser extensions installed that handle xlsx files.
