Send by email - search directory for recipient doesn't work

Hi,

Wonder if anyone else has come across this, on 11.1.7.

Creating a report schedule, and it lets you type a bit of the recipients name and, and then it pops up and offers to search the directory.  It looks like its doing something, but nothing happens.

We have to click on Directory - then click on the right namespace - then we can finally do a search in there.

Any tips appreciated!

Was this an issue for you in previous version ? I have noticed that if you have a very large AD structure with thousands of members and a deep folder hierarchy with a lot of folders inside folders, Cognos would have a hard to searching for members in the leaf folders if searching from the very top Parent folder. A simple name search for us could take 5 min if not specifying the which leaf folder to do the search inside. We ended up having to flatten our AD folder structure which helped the performance. I don't know if the issue relates to you but could be worth checking out.

Old Cognos (10.2.2. FP10) didn't offer us the same "search from the To" box that Analytics does.  In old Cognos I have to click "select recipients...." then I have to click on "Active Directory" ("Cognos" also shows at this point) and only then can I click search to find who I want, which it does reasonably quickly.
