What tools / plugins are you all using for Deployments?

This is aimed at those who have various environments for Cognos such as Development, Testing, and Production. I am curious what tools and/or plugins you are using to actually move your reports and frameworks from one environment to another? What are the pros and cons? Do those provide the ability to revert to a previous version of provide history?

The reason I am asking about this is because we use a third party tool called ICS and it is great, however, there are a lot of issues with it when it comes to framework deployments so I wanted to explore what some other people are doing.

Thanks!

Hello -

What version of Cognos are you using C10 or CA?   Also - Are you deploying the packages from one environment to another or the cpf files, when you say framework deployments?

It looks like you can log an issue or ask questions with your ICS provider here: https://www.bspsoftware.com/support/log-an-issue

Hopefully that helps you out.

Cognos Analytics is the version.
Yes, I am deploying the packages from one environment to another.
And I am pretty sure that my environmental support team here has had plenty of discussion / tickets with ICS about the issues.
