Is there any way to use the data generated from a custom SQL directly in a Dashboard in Cognos Analytics 11.0?

I've seen that there's a new feature in 11.1 that allows you to create tables using custom SQL, but I'm not sure if my company is licensed to upgrade to this version, since Cognos came along when we purchased IBM Control Desk.

Yes, if you define it in the module.

Just to clarify, though - you can only define custom SQL in a data module if you are using Cognos Analytics 11.1.x. This isn't possible in 11.0.x as far as I'm aware. One option for 11.0.x is to use the SQL in Framework Manager and publish a package, then use this to base your dashboard on. Or you could create a report using the SQL, and write the data out as Excel or CSV, then consume this in your dashboard.

Cheers!

Your second option seems interesting, I'll give it a try, thanks!
