Hello to everyone,

Directly reporting against our production environment as for this is how they work here.

We have this LIST report, scheduled to run every 30 minutes, that is actually running correctly in such a way that it looks for when number of records that are of TYPE = 'ON'is >=3 it simply displays those records. Good.

We noww need another LIST report (on another page or same page) that will actually display the NEW records that are also of TYPE = 'ON' but we do not want to repeat the ones already displayed on our first LIST report. I'm thinking

i might need to keep some sort of running time stamp or something somewhere but not sure where to start or if will be possible.

QUESTION: Is it even possible to perform such reporting ?

Thanks

BigChris

Sounds like you need two queries with an outer join between them.

Ok, by the way is there some sort of cognos run time variable i would be able to use ? I mean, the end goal is to make sure that when the report runs, that the result displayed is what is on the Data Base at the time the report runs BUT as i repeat besides what was already displayed 30 minutes or so. Meaning that if the same same records appear on the Data Base, then simply will display a message to the user as 'Same records as last run time' and if there are new records than simply displays those ones.
