How to check the history of Scheduled Reports

Hi All,

I have 10-20 auto reports scheduled to run every day midnight. I have set up these to send via email to the users every day and also save the report view in a separate folder in the SCI itself. The reports that run tonight will replace the file that was saved in the report view folder the previous day. I can only view the current day report file. All these reports run and export it to EXCEL.

Is there any way, I can save the report view of these scheduled reports for last 10 or 20 days in SCI without replacing the previous files? How can I get to see all the previous 10 days excel files? If I have to look at the last 10th day file, I would have to check my inbox for the email received on that day. Instead, Can I get to view that file in this report view?

Cognos Version I am using is 10.2.1

Thanks,
Pranathi

In Cognos Administration, go to the Schedules tab, find the Schedule and click "Properties" set the number of occurances to 10 and number of Days to 10

Schedule a report and save it as a report view?  I've never heard of that.  The output formats don't include Report View.  I'll assume you mean you have created report views, that's where the actual schedules really are, you're outputting to Excel format, and saving the output using the "Save report" option.

What is SCI?  I'll assume you mean the output is being saved in Cognos.

If I remember from my Cognos 10 days,...

In Cognos Connection, find the report view and click on its Properties icon.
On the Report tab, open Advanced.
Set the "Run History" and "Report output versions" properties to the number of days you want the reports saved for.  Since the schedule runs daily, you should be able to select either Days or Occurrences.

It looks like Pranathi posted this twice...

...probably because of the repeated page loading failures I've noticed on this site since SSL was implemented.

This doesn't require Cognos Administration.  See my response to the other post.

Thanks Oscarca and Dougp for the replies.

Dougp,

Yes, it posted two threads and I was unable to delete one of those.

I have tried with the properties changes in Cognos Administration and that did not work.
I have now updated the properties in Cognos Connection, report view. I have to wait till tomorrow and see if that saves today's and tomorrow's files there.

Will let you know. Thanks Again.

I merged both posts into one, so hopefully that avoids any back-and-forth between the two.

Cheers!
