Hi All,

I have Installed a clean enviroment (CentOS-7) Linux with only the Jupyter Server Installation.
Did all the installations and checks I found on the internet / IBM site.

Connected my Cloud Cognos Analytics 11.2 to this Jupyter Enviroment like the IBM Installation YouTube told me to do so.

But when I want to create a new Notebook 'content' I get an error: "Internal Server Error"
Please conact your CA Administrator.

Does anyone have the same issue and solved this issue ?

I would like to have a the right configuration for this.

Kind Regards,

Chris

Hi All,

Does anyone has installed 11.1.2 with Juphyter Notebook ?
Can't find my issue why it's not working (yet).

Searching on the internet, looks like there should be a new capability "Notebook" between "Mobile" and "Planning Contributor" but we don't see that.
Has someone installed this and see the "Notebook" capability within the Admin Console ?
That could be my issue ?

Looks like you're trailblazing here! I haven't seen anyone else posting about having 11.1.2 yet, so you might be our first :)

Hi,

Well, I'll share my short experience with CA11.1.2 here but is not related to Jupyter.

As far as I could test, it seems to be a very buggy release, here some topics :

  • Configured output reports formats are ignored, reports, reports views configured to execute as PDF, or Excel are always executed as HTML
  • After the installation of the new release my PowerPlay Server v11 is unreacheable, I reinstall my PPES but it is still unreachable
  • Sometimes the objects properties don't show, you have to clean all the browser history to make them appear
  • Some extensions I've created in v11.1.1 not work anymore. ex: I used a JSON to hide all the QuickStart menu but it doesn't work anymore

I open some PMRs with IBM but as like this is not our production systeme they don't consider this as a priority  :o >:(

Hi Nimirod,

Could you please check within your enviroment if you have the Notebook Capability ?

In my enviromnent  I don't see Notebook Capability (between [Mobile capability] and [Planning Contributor capability]

Kind Regards,

Chris

All,

Found my Capability 'issue' ......
Within the IBM Manual they are sowing the 'legacy' GUI, but the Jupyter Notebook Capability is available in the new GUI.

Log into CA and:

- Manage
- People
- Capabilities
- Notebook

For all who have the same issue.
This is the right path.

Kind Regards,

Chris

Hi Bi4Bu,

Here i have the same behaviour Notebook capability only shows in New GUI, and none in legacy.
