Hi Team, does anyone know how to get rid of the "Get started by opening a dashboard, report or story!" line on the default home page?

I would like to keep the Recents on the home page (that is useful) but get rid of the "Get started by opening a dashboard, report or story!" and also get rid of the "Quick reference". The samples mostly show how to replace the home page with a picture and some titles... I cannot find a list of all of the possible possible features to customize.

Thanks, Adrienne

There is an article on IBM's website for this.

https://community.ibm.com/community/user/businessanalytics/viewdocument/how-to-get-rid-of-get-started-by-o?CommunityKey=6b10df83-0b3c-4f92-8b1f-1fd80d0e7e58&tab=librarydocuments

It includes a link to a word document "Modify the ICA Welcome page.docx"

Discusses losing the Get Started message,  as well as the Getting Started section on the right.

Hi,

I have tried this method in the document by Syd.

I can't get it to work, almost like its caching.  The Quick Referenece will not go away, I got the words at top to go away but not consistantly.  I've even renamed the .js file to something else and it does not break it.

Can someone advise, I really need to remove the 3 items described in the document from my welcome page.

THanks
Jason

How are you accessing the Cognos Analytics instance - via the built-in servlet gateway or via a web server? If the latter, have you tried bouncing the web server or flushing its cache?

Cheers!

I have successfully got this to work.

Try starting your browser on the server in incognito mode or inprivate.

Also F12 can bring up the browser console and there are a few icons under network (IE) that you can use to clear cache.

But also note, i had the cache issue as well. Was tearing my hair out. We do a weekly server reboot and eventually the change appeared.
