Re-using LCM tasks

Hi,
Working with a client who has 11.0.12 installed and is looking to upgrade to 11.1.1 (or later).  Previously they ran LCM to compare an older version with 11.0.12 and in doing so created a large number of tasks.  Can I re-use these tasks by loading them (copy json files to the projects folder) into the LCM application installed with 11.1.1 ?  Can I manually re-configure the json file content in a text editor or do I need to do any reconfiguration within the LCM 11.1.1 application?
