Date Format changed in Burst output

Hi All,

I have burst the report to PDF format via Event Studio and saved the report output to a common location. Report has been bursted successfully but the date fields in bursted report output is in US format MM/DD/YYYY rather than UK format.

When I run the report manually the date fields are in default UK format DD/MM/YYYY. Any thought would be of great help.

There is a language property for the report service and for the batch report service in the admin console. Perhaps check if these have different settings. If that is the problem then I would expect that the report would show the wrong data format if you run it in the background or on a schedule and not just via Event Studio. This isn't exactly my area of expertise, so consider my input speculative at best.

Of course setting a specific date format on the report should solve the problem but better to identify the underlying cause as you'd have to then apply that format in all reports. Even if you applied formats explicitly in your Framework model things like current date might have the wrong format so hopefully you can get to the bottom of it.

Hopefully people with beefier admin skills can chime in with thoughts.

My Apologies Lynn. Since we have multiple versions of Cognos in use , I have posted my query in v8.4 where am facing this date format issue. But not response for couple of days and realized most of the users are in V10.
So I end up spreading the query across all versions.

Grateful if you could share some thoughts on where to find the Language property settings....
I did test the report to run via scheduler and got the right date format DD/MM/YYYY. Only when the report is bursted it returns in US format MM/DD/YY

I understand the need to post across the two versions. A link on each duplicate post back to the other would help people see if the question has been answered or what suggestions have already been made.

The ReportService and BatchReportService settings are found in the administration console. Click on the configuration tab, and then click on Dispatchers and Services. Click on your dispatcher and you'll see all the service names listed. Click on the properties link for each and look at the language property on the general tab.

If you have a multi-server installation there may be more required to get everything aligned with regard to these settings. I am not an administrator so my skills in this area are rather limited.
