Multiple Style Variables

For example, in a list report, if the data meets a certain set of conditions, I want to set a top border for the cell (currently applying Style Variable on the List Column Body and then setting formatting options).  Not having any issues setting this.

Now, I want a second set of unrelated conditions that will trigger a bottom border.

I can't seem to figure out how to pull that off without overwriting the first Style Variable.

Am I just using the wrong procedure to do this?  Is it not possible?

I may have just answered this myself: use Conditional Styles instead of Style Variables.  Now I just have to figure out the different use cases for each.   ???
