CUT a Column in Report Author to Hide (Relational)

I used to know this but does cutting a column (not deleting) gets rid of the logic that is related to that column
associated to a crosstab Report? Or Cut just takes it off the Layout of the Report but the logic still exists.

It takes out the column from the list but the logic is still intact in the query associated with the crosstab. But the trick to making the logic work is to assign the data item (which contains the logic) to the "property" (option in the properties pane) list of the crosstab.

To be more precise, please be advised that when you select the whole crosstab you won't find the property option 'Properties' (under DATA). You've to select a specific crosstab node (either columns or rows) and then the option appear in your properties pane.
