Hi everyone,

Just wanna ask if it is possible to make a bullet chart like Sales vs Target with custom color palette? Like, ones the sales hits its target quota, the bar on the bullet chart changes color?

sdf

i believe there's no conditional palette properties for bullet chart measures. There's only bullet indicators where you can select the color for the measures. Im thinking of javascript might be possible. Though im not sure.. Let's wait for the javsript guys..

But there's a work around that you can try, this will depend(amount of work) on how many bullet charts you have.
Have you tried conditional block? so you'll be making one chart as usual and the other as > target (with different color for the measure).

i see. is there any other charts which can do this stuff? specifically on the custom color palette once a target number is reach?

sdf

how many bullet charts are you dealing with?
if it's not much of a fuzz you can try my suggestion to use conditional block.

You can try to play around with combination charts as well, so you'll have one axis for the main measure and another axis for the target measure.

Im looking at a barchart and a line chart (markers only).

Just my suggestion. im not sure with your particulars.

cheers!

If I understand the request right, I second the request. I think being able to choose only between gray and red/yellow/green is too limited. I fear though that this would be a request to IBM rather than a question here. As far as I see there is no way to change the colours on bullet graphs in Cognos.
Few can be done on Cognos | RTFM for those who ask basic questions...
