I am having some trouble with a report - I have defined a drill through to another report that passes two date parameters and a data item value.

When the drill through link is clicked I get the following error in the logs:

XQE-GEN-0002 An unexpected exception occurred: MFW-UT-1002 An internal problem has occurred. Please contact your system administrator.    MFW-UT-1003 Details: "Expecting a valid CRN Id"

Anyone encountered this one before? We have plenty of other reports working fine with drill through.

Using Cognos 10.2.2

Thanks!

Hi Grant,

Are you using a dimensional data source or relational data source ?

Regards

GrantW

I am using a Relational data source.

Hi,

Is it possible one of the values being passed is null? The technote below seems to suggest passing a null value might generate the kinds of errors you are seeing:

There are no NULL values being passed, just two dates (mandatory parameters in the source report) and a string value for Team (this is what the user clicks on).

Are you sure the data types of the items you are passing from the source /filtering on in the target report are the same?

Ended up resolving this - I shifted the target report to the same folder as the source report and drill-through now works. It shouldn't make a difference I know, but it did in this case.

I am seeing this same error after upgrading to 10.2.2 and the reports both are in same folder, matter of fact, regardless of in which folder they are in...

Please let me know if you have similar issue and how you solved it...

Hi all,
have someone the answer for this problem ?
i use Cognos 10.2.2 and i have the same problem:

- I have set a dinamyc drill through to another report (in the same folder) that passes two date parameters and a data item value.
-When the drill through link is clicked I get the following error in the logs:
XQE-GEN-0002 An unexpected exception occurred: MFW-UT-1002 An internal problem has occurred. Please contact your system administrator.    MFW-UT-1003 Details: "Expecting a valid CRN Id"
