Hi,

I have never added any attributes in cognos transformer. I wanted to know if its possible to add attributes in Cognos Transformer?, if So how do we do that.

I see there are 3 attributes like short description etc..

Assume I have a dimension like Region ,State and City .

And I wanted to add a attribute value to my city saying if its over populated or not.

My current source file for the dimension looks like
East- NewYork -City1
East-Newyork- City2.

How should I add my attribute value now, and map it to the dimension or level in the cube.
Should it be a seperate loaf file with values City1 Yes, City2 No. or it should be the same load file used to load the dimension with an additional column.

Any help is appreciated on the feasibility and approach.
Thanks,
Nithya

I was able to successful add attribute by loading the value to Description field of a level . One question is can I use two different files to load the dimension and then the attribute for one of the level.
I think its possible until I map the field to source field in properties of the level.

First file will have values like

East^Newjersy^City1

Second File will have
NewJersy^True.

Thanks,
