Default selection valueprompt with date values not working

Hi all,

Cognos 10.1.1 Report Studio

I'm trying to create a valueprompt on a promptpage with a (query based) list of date values (only first, last of month and current date)
When I set a default date fi. 2016-01-01 it does not work. Also with the timestamp does not work. No default is shown when the report is run.

When a numeric value, fi. year number, is used in the prompt and default it does work.

Any suggestions on what might be wrong?
