Is there a way to change the default preferences within Cognos 10?

For example I'd like to change the default settings for the following to:

Number of entries in list view: 999
Separators in list view: Alternating backgrounds
Style: Corporate
Michael Riley
Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant (Retired)

"We may never pass this way again!"

I am not sure if you can change this for existing users.

However if you change the preferences for default profile in Cognos, then whenever new user comes after this it will be applicable for him/her. Check below link to change the default profile settings.

Thanks

sunosoft is correct, that will not change any existing users unless you manually update it or use tools like MOTIO (never used it myself).

MetaManager has a module called Preferences Blaster which is specifically designed for pushing specified preferences to users or groups. This can be done one time or automated. You can download a trial of metamanager and try it out for a few users for free.
