Report Author 10.2.1 and Passing Values/Param for Drill-Thru

Hi everyone, ???

Two quick questions:

For some reason, I have the following as a part of a Data Item within a Query
Expression: CAR_ID||'-'||CAR_NAME which results into 101-BMW.

But when I try passing it to the Target Report as a Value or Parameter, it is not getting
passed. The View Passed Source Values shows nothing under Display or Use Value.

Also, is there a trick sending a contant value like BMW as a part of a Drill-Thru. So, I need
to setup a constant value in my Query as a Data Item and pass it through the Drill-Thru.

Could you please help if you could. For some reason, nothing is getting passed other than
the parameters specified by the user as a part of the Prompt Page.

Just an additional explanation, if I pass just a CAR_ID, I can see the ID as a part of the View Source Value.

My guess is you are not displaying the calculated item in the source report?

Ok, that did the trick. I just dropped the data element in the Crosstab and hide it.

Sorry, unfortunately, it works great passing these values as "Pass Data Item Value"
But at the bottom of the Crosstab, I have a Grand Total of all the Counts.
when I attach the same Drill-Thru to the bottom Total, the Drill-Thru doesn't pass the
"CAR_ID||'-'||CAR_NAME".

I don't believe it. I still can't pass the value from Source to Target from the Total.  I can't pass a value like 'BMW'as a part of the Drill-thru Definition from the Bottom Total Edge.     
   
After checking the "View passed source values", no values is getting passed. OR IT'S NULL So, it's not even making it to the Target Report or NULL is getting sent.

The properties showing the following for this specific Crosstab Cell.
Source type: Data Item
Value Data Item Value: BMW
General: Row Coordinate: Total (Car Zone) (e19)
Column Coordindate: BMW (e6) Define Contents:Yes

I tried sending a Data Item in my query called BMW that actually works in the non-TOTAL Crosstab Columns, but the value is not getting passed from the bottom edge Row where the totals are.

There has to be a way may be even to send the cell value of the Intersection.

I'll keep digging. not giving up!
