Hi guys !

I'm strugling with SSO configuration from iPad Mobile App. I read in other posts that this is not possible but what about this technote.

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21684256

I'm in this configuration
Cognos BI 10.2.1 FP6
Cognos Mobile Server 10.2.1 FP4
IIS 7
iOS 8.1
I still getting « Error 401 : access is denied» from web
And « server is unreachable » from Mobile App.

Thanks for any help.

There are a lot of variables at play with mobile. You may need to open a ticket with support.

First thoughts: are the mobile devices connected to your internal network? Or is Cognos mobile exposed to the internet? If it is over the internet, can the Cognos server name be resolved outside your network?

Thanks bdbits,

Yes the devises are connected to internal net and I can acess to my IIS server I mean http://mycognos/ give me the IIS welcome page on my device but when trying to accès any of the
http://mycognos/ibmcognos
http://mycognos:80/ibmcognos
http://mycognos/ibmcognos/cgi-bin/cognosisapi.dll
http://mycognos/ibmcognos/m/isapi

and all possible mix of those parameters it always give me the same errors.

what makes me said that is SSO problems is that from my device if I try

http://mycognos/ibmcognos/images/go_logo_small.jpg (anonymous accès allowed from IIS)

I can see the image called but when accessing the root site (configured to work with Kerberos - SSO) it doesn't work.

Thanks for your help and for any other idea.

I'll try to do some tests on NTLM instead of Kerberos because all I saw in the IBM docs is about NTML and nothing about Kerberos.

I'll post updates later.

Thanks.

Well, It seems that Kerberos mechanism is not really supported for SSO from Mobile. So the solution I got is to activate the log on page for mobile devices.

For that I added NTLM provider for Windows Authetication on IIS (Kerberos first and NTLM second) so no impacts for BI from web and log on page from Web mobile and app.

It seems to be a correct workaround by now. :P

Thanks and bye  8)
