Hey All,

I am trying to understand how regular aggregate property would work.

Say I have a Duration column , what would be the regular aggregate type given to it.

If given as count what will it do and if given as sum what will it do..

User1 1:02:34
User1 : 1:08:30
User2 : 2:04:45

Can you guys please explain me this with an example.

Thanks,
Nithya

I don't want to give a glib answer, but you know your data better than anybody else here, and it would be very easy for you to do some tests in your environment. Create two QS, one where your measure regular aggregate property is set to Count, and the other where it is set to Sum, and see what results you get.

The fact that Cognoise exists doesn't preclude a bit of personal initiative!

IMHO, if you really want a count result, you should base it on a count (distinct [unique ID]) of whatever the fact table is that you are dealing with, and not on the same column that you are intending to sum.
