Hi all,
I'm having a strange problem with a Cognos project in my company:

The authentication to the Cognos platform is made with 2 Active Directories.
I have created a group with users from both AD's and i've granted that group permissions to Read, Execute and Traverse in a package available at Public Folders.
When i log in with a user from the most used Active Directory i can run the reports in the package with no problems, but with a user from the second AD i can log in fine but the access to Public Folders is denied.
Sorry if my english is bad ;D but please help with this, any help is welcome.

Best regards,
João Borges.

You added users from the second AD into appropriate roles like Consumers or Report Administrators?   Using two AD Security Sources works, so it is something with how you have users from the second source setup.

Hi,
i created a group and selected users from both AD.
I can log in with users from both AD's, when i go to Cognos Content with a user from the first AD there is no problem but when i'm logged in with a user from the second AD it shows Acess Denied when i go to Cognos Content.

Problem solved. It had nothing to do to AD configurations.
Thanks for the help.

It would be nice for future users to know how you solved your issue.

Sorry, there was no problems with de AD configuration. Configuring one or several AD's in the same COGNOS platform is pretty much the same.
I was granting view permission to a specific user and when i removed the permission to a group that included that user i wasn't getting the result i wanted.

Best regards,
João Borges.

I need help in setting up single sign on authentication for cognos in my project. Can you please advice me steps from beginning how to approach for this.

In my organisation people have one user id and password which they use for accessing any of the company tool...i want that once they login to cognos they should use same login credentials....but problem is..i have very basic knowledge of admin stuff....how should i get all the list of all employees in organization...is it already existing?? i mean what should i ask for if i need details of organisation active directory...

Many thanks in advance!
