Hi,

I would like to seek assistance if you know the proper procedure in creating a drill through between two active reports that are disconnected to the server.

I've been following the steps in this link: http://www.scribd.com/doc/110099433/Application-Drill-Through-for-the-iPad however when ever I email the downloaded active report in my personal email and open it in Cognos mobile App this message keeps on showing:

'The report you are trying to open doesn't exist on this device or is out-of-date. Please run the report from your device or schedule it to be sent to your device'

Will appreciate any inputs you can share. Thank You!

If I remember correctly, you need to have the reports delivered to the mobile app using a secured method to enable them to be recognised in an Application Drill Through. This means either using the "Run and send to mobile device" option to push them from Cognos directly to your app, or logging in to the Cognos server from your app and running them from there to "pull" them to your device.

Sending the MHT files via an email account or copying them to your device via Itunes when linked using a cable does not fit this paradigm.

Cheers!

MF.

Hi MF,

Thanks! I will try your advice once I get back to this mini project of mine.
