Report View Prompts Did Not Update

Just like to know if anybody have experienced this.

The user have a view with saved prompt values scheduled to run say 10am 5th of each month. One of the prompts (saved value) is Month and the user changes this value to the current month before the scheduled run.

So this month (Feb) the view ran as scheduled. But when the output is opened, we see that the month value is Jan (last month). I thought the user just forgot to change the saved prompt values in the view (lots of argument).

I remembered I saved a copy of the user's view a day before the scheduled run. When I check my saved copy LO AND BEHOLD, the user was telling the truth!! The saved prompt value is February. But when the report ran on schedule, the prompt value used is Jan.

Of course the user could have just changed the prompt after I copied the view, but that is very unlikely.

The report takes a long time to run so this kinda became a big issue.

If you click on View run history - Actions - View run history details, you will see the prompt values used when the report view was executed. This should clear up the mystery :)

from the history details the prompt value is Jan (last month).

however i find it weird because i copied the same report view at end of the day before it is scheduled to run. and from my copy the prompt value is Feb.

so it is true that the user did updated the value. however from his view, the used Jan but from my view, its Feb.

i am suspecting cache. or should we do a House and say "users lie"
