Hi all,

I've got the issue where if one side has a value of 100% and the other side has no value then the total % is 100% in the results.

I'm not great at explaining exactly what's going on but if you take a look at the attached screen shot it will explain things a lot clearer.

The top 2 highlit show that the % appears to work out correctly when the Utilized is empty but when the non-utilized is empty and the utilized populated it just gives the result of 100%

how can I prevent this from happening?

I worked out what was causing the results to display the way they were but I'm not sure as to why.

The Text for the data 1.Utilized and 2.Non-Utilized is created in cognos using a CASE as initially it would display a 1 or a 0. I found that removing this CASE the % was then calculated correctly.

And that's where it all went over my head and I didn't understand why that makes a difference. Anyway this is now resolved.
