Hello All,

Need your quick help. We were in a process of uninstallation of cognos. We did a mistake and didnt follow a proper un installation steps.
We are on the linux platform and deleted the cognos installation directory. Now we want to do cognos installation on the same server.
Do we need to perform any clean up process now ?.How to find any process or something related to old environment is remaining which might cause problem to our fresh installation (The deleted cognos and the one which we are going to install both are of same verion 10.1 ).

Did the IBM Cognos 10 daemon get removed during the process? If not, you could clean this up. Otherwise, just do a normal install and hopefully you should be ok. If you still have FM instances on other machines, these will likely still retain the old encryption keys for your original instance. You can either update these manually after your server is back up (copy in the new the signkeypair, encryptkeypair and csk folders from the server) or you could uninstall FM, remove the install directory, and start again from scratch with FM. It's probably worth checking your web server config too - you may still have application pools/virtual directories that tie in to your old instance.

Cheers!
