Report executes in HTML but returns error in Excel and PDF

I have a report runs perfectly in HTML but not in PDF and Excel. Attached error snapshot for reference.

The report has two child queries that is performing a union set operation to create a master query which the report list points to.

I tried modying the list to pull data from child queries one by one. Both times report executed in Excel without any errors.

Another thing I found was, when I try changing the execution optimization as ALL rows for the master query, the report throws same error in html as well.

Would appreciate any help on this.

You should contact your Cognos server admin and give them that error message. They can find more detailed information in the cognos server logs, using that information.

I don't think it is directly related to your queries. CAF is the Cognos Application Firewall. It may be that the returned data looks a bit funky to CAF, or it could be something else entirely. The server logs should clarify what is happening.
