Nested Lists

Hi Everyone,
For one of our list report, we have a requirement where we might have multiple values for the same row for same ID. We are using nested list and using master detail relationship for that list to achieve this. However, the performance impact for this is taking hours even though we have indexes created.  The list by itself without the column takes about 5 minutes. Include that column with nested list, it takes 3-4 hours or breaks.

Can anyone suggest a work around for this?
