Using multiple control filters on a list without affecting the aggregation

Hi,

I've read different posts relating to my issue and neither worked, so if you could lend a hand, it would be appreciated.

Issue :

i try to limit a list ( in fact more, but it's the same principle) in which i want to show only a measure ( total number of products , let' say).

My limits come from 3 drop down lists ( one for Region, one for State and one for City). I want to be able to dinamically show the value either for a region , or for a state or for a city or for all etc..

If i link all 3 with my list ( and filter on them ), even if I hide the 3 columns added ( as they are needed for the control to work), I still get multiple rows and not only one total value. I have tried to group the Total number of products column and still no luck...

Many thanks!
