Hi Guys,

Coming after a long time. :)

Got a problem with Cognos Custom Authentication Provider build using the JDBCSample code provided with the SDK.

We are trying to setup a Custom Java Provider in Cognos 10.2.1 BI. We have referred to http://vmanoria.blogspot.in/2014/03/setting-up-ibm-cognos-bi-security-using.html and done all the configurations as per this doc.

However, when we try an open the cognos url, its giving a "AAA-AUT-0013 The user is already authenticated in all available namespaces" error, everytime.

In order to fix this problem, I have tried the following:
1) We are running IBM Cognos 10.2.1 on Fix Pack 3
2) Made sure that in IIS, there are NO restrictions on IBMCOGNOS-ISAPI.
3) Cannot switch to Windows Authentication because our machine is Win 7 HP.
4) In services.msc, changed the Cognos services from Local Account to This Account.
5) When we set Anonymous access to TRUE, we are able to get the Cognos Connection page.
6) I have created a new content store.
7) I have created a new directory in IIS.

Still the problem persists.

Any help or suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Best Regards
Dev

CJAP is tricky as it could be a code issue. I'd suggest opening a PMR with IBM Cognos support and having them open a collaboration with their SDK team to help assist.

Would probably solve your issue much faster this way.

Thanks for the quick reply Grim. I also thought so. Honestly, there aren't any detailed CJAP docs online. Let me write to IBM then.

Thanks again.
