Prompt Sort Issue in Analysis Studio

I have a date prompt defined in framework manager, prompt type is set to select value. When I try to use this date in Analysis studio, a prompt window opens with all the available dates. The user can select multiple dates here, click ok and continue his/her analysis. So far so good.

The requirement is to sort the date values in descending order. We know we cannot sort a query item in framework manager at the same time there are no such option in analysis studio also. So, I sorted the view in database which is used to import this date in FM to descending. but still when I use this date in analysis studio, the prompt window is opening with dates in ascending order. How can I get it to display in descending?

I think you need to go to the dimensional map (assumed DMR since you are using AS). Right-click any part of the dimension you want to sort and choose "Edit Definition...". There is a tab call "Members Sort" and I think this is what will get used to present the members.

I cannot verify at the moment that this does what it appears to do to me. Sure seems like it would...  :)

That will work if you use members for slicing (context filters) . I suspect this is a filter on the relational layer?

bdbits: the member sort property that you mentioned is already setup in FM model.

blom0344: Yes, It is a filter on relational layer. where do you think the issue is?

Not really an issue, more a matter of 'Works as designed' . The prompt pops up, but there is no control on how it displays the data.  (as opposed to setting a sort on a certain set of members..
