Stacking different measures in stacked column graph/visualization

Hi,

I guess I'm missing the obvious here, at least I hope I am.

Cognos 10.2.2 report studio, relational database as a source. I'm trying to create a stacked column diagram with 2 separate measures being the source for the columns (i.e., one measure should be the lower stack, one column should be the upper stack). Doesn't seem to work; the only way I can get stacked columns working is to use the same measure and the use a dimension for a series. Unfortunately, that's not how my data source is organized. What can I do to work around this?

Kind regards,
Mark.

sorry for the bump, but I really need a solution for this. Anyone got an idea?

Lynn

Put the two measures in as the series and leave default measure blank. Then put whatever dimension is appropriate as the categories.

oh dear.... *slaps hand on forehead*

thank you ever so much for this! I wasn't quite aware that leaving the measure open was an option. I guess yes, this qualifies as "missing the obvious". ;)

If I had a nickel for all the seemingly obvious things that eluded me I'd be retired already
;D
