Create a href from field

This is probably very simple, but I cannot get my head around it..

I have an ID field which is just a number. However, I want people to be able to click on it, and have it open a new window to the source application.

How can make the field a hyperlink?

Hi,

One option is to add HTML items before and after the item, and code an anchor tag around the item using these.
