HI all,

I would appreciate if someone could possibly help.

I get an error of:

"Backward Cannot break-back a BiF: DIM1/TOT18:Cumstarted used by 7/DIM1/TOT67:HealthactualCost"

Could anyone help me try to understand.

Thank

ykud

You can't enter data (break-back) in Built in Function calculated cells )

Hi,

I'm not trying to enter data into a breakback BIF, which is why i'm so confused!

I'm trying to link an input cube with a cube that does some calcs for me based on payroll.

I'm linking the start date month (input) to month (calc) and then bringing through a field called One which has a number 1 in it. This is a flag to show what month the employee started in.
In the calc cube I then have a Cumul BIF in another row which Cumuls up the Started row (which contains the one in the month of start) this is so I can see if the employee is currently employed or left.

This all works fine until i add a year D list (formatted as text) to the calc cube. I'm then linking the year the employee started too (which is D list formatted in the input cube so the format shouldnt be an issue).
I updated the D link to match the years as well as the months... the 1 still flows through in the correct month of start however the Cumul BIF now stops working and I dont know why.

Sorry for the late update of detail here, I only figured out more detailed information late yesterday.

Thanks for your help.

Lee
