C8 (8.1.209.105) RS :DPR-ERR-2077 Report service process in unavailable

Hello All,

While running a report in RS, we are getting the error DPR-ERR-2077 The request failed because the associated report service process is unavaialble frequently. When I checked cogserver.log file it's showing a message CCL-SRV-0502 BIBusTKServer caught a Cognos Services Bus Toolkit exception while handling a request. repeatedly. It has created a dump file under bin directory. I have found some KB doc in support site which says that the joins in the query needs to be verified. Please advise if you have any additional information abpout this.

My suggestion would be to increase your logging levels to "trace", reproduce the problem and subsequent core dump then correlate the timestamp on the core dump file that you've got with whatever is happening in your environment at that time.

Friends, the issue has been escalated to cognos support and it got reproduced at cognos test lab on cognos 8 MR2 (8.1.209.105) and latest version 8.2 also. Emergency bug has been logged internally in cognos to fix this issue. We hope that the EBF gets delivered in next 21 business days.
