hi ,
whenever i try to do an export. I am getting this error:

CM-REQ-4248 Unable to access the account "CAMID("LDAPEXT:u:uid=xyz")" in an external security system.

thanks

This message is indicative that you have some objects in your content store owned by users who no longer exist in your LDAP namespace.  So if John Smith is the owner of Report A in public folders, but John Smith no longer works for you and has been removed from your authentication source, Report A will no be deployed.

So, you can have a couple of options:

1) This message is "usually" just referencing the objects 'my folders' so if John Smith no longer works for you, you shouldn't be concerned that his 'my folders' will not deploy correct.  You may want to verify ownership of your major reports/folders
2) Doing a full content store database backup rather than deployment would resolve that issue
3) Exporting specific packages/folders with known ownership would also resolve it (though permissions wouldn't carry over)
4) There is an SDK method of identifying the My Folders of deleted users.

I am able to do it through  full content store database backup.

Hi,

You can identify the content affected in this way by launching a Consistency Check from the Content Administration option in the Tools menu.  You get to see the content with no valid owners, and you can also have the utility delete it too if it's no longer required.
