Regarding ...Deployment manager

HI Frens,

What is deployment manager ? Is it third party tool ...and is it available for free download  to practise ?
If you have any docs and installation procedure please let me know...Since I am practising a migration from
8.2 to 10.1.

Please help me regarding this...

It's the old name for Lifecycle Manager, and is is included with Cognos 8/10 BI so you should be able to download it from IBM using your customer ID. It's worth getting the Cognos 10 Lifecycle Manager install, as it will handle C10 content.
