[Solved] Fail to import Excel as an external data source

Dear buddy,

I am facing an error while importing an Excel file as an external data source.

it states that:

Error! - <output>
- <pdSpec>
- <dataSet type="Excel2003">
<name>accounts</name>
<sourcePath>C:\fakepath\joinTests.xls</sourcePath>
</dataSet>
.....................

It states out an Error pop-up which is a XML including some info of my Excel.

Anyone could help or face the same problem?

Actually I have gone through all the posts related to import an Excel file as external data source in this forum. But unfortunately, I could not find out the same error as mine.

Hope anyone could give me a helping hand.

Dear Buddy,

I have found out that currently I am using IE9 for accessing report studio. It fails.

After using Firefox 8. I can import the Excel as an external source.
