New to Cognos

Hi Guys,

I am really new to cognos. to start with, i have never used it before, and since i am just graduate in computer science, i am interested in starting my career on Data warehousing side. so i took  "Cognos BI Modeller" course. i just want to know, since i haven't done any previous courses either in Datawarehousing or Cognos, is it a good idea to start the above mentioned course? what books i need to read to improve my skills in cognos.
Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated guys.
