Cognos portlets with SharePoint FBA

I have Cognos portlets working on a SharePoint site with standard integrated authentication; works great. If I modify the SharePoint site to use FBA (Forms Based Authentication) with the built-in AD provider (I have reasons to do this), I can log into SharePoint just fine but the web parts break with the following error.

Unable to process the request.
CAM-AAA-0179 The 3rd party provider returned an unrecoverable exception. CPS-SSO-4900 The request contains a trusted signon token that is not valid.
A more detailed description of the error that occurred can be found in the log.

What log they are referring to is beyond me - we are not seeing anything relevant in either the SharePoint or Cognos logs. Since it works in Windows authentication, the shared secret must be correct. I suspect using FBA is not setting whatever attribute the Cognos web parts are picking up from the security context. I may be able to fix that with some custom code, if I can determine what attribute the web part is using. Or if there is a way to fix this with configuration (on either side) that would be even better. This is all pretty poorly documented (in my opinion), googling has been mostly fruitless, and support often seems as lost as we are trying to figure out what is going on. Any ideas would be immensely appreciated. If you ever make it to my neck of the woods (ND in the USA), I'll buy the meal of your choice. :-)

If there is a better place to post this, please let me know. Thanks.

Dear Bdbits

Are you able to resolve the problem?

Our site is also using FBA and we need to connect COGNOS as a SSO for the users to see their reports. I didnt find any solution yet. Can you help me in this regards.

Thanks
