Hi everyone,

One quick question, I'm sure it's already ask but I search for 40 minutes and find nothing. There is possibility for Cognos administrator to delete report from 'My folder' when this folder are own by other user. For example some users quit and we want to remove the report they have build on there personal folder.

Thanks for your answer.

Hi,

Yes - you can do this, either individually for a single user, or via a content maintenance task.

To do this for an individual user, launch the Admin console, go to the Security tab, select Users Groups and Roles on the left, then click on your security provider namespace on the right. Locate your user in the namespace and click on the user name, then select 'My Folders' for the user. You can now see (and delete) the entire contents of that users's My Folders area.

To clean up multiple obsolete users reports in batch, launch the Admin Console, go to the Configuration tab, select Content Administration on the left, then from the list of options in the top right corner of the page, select "New content maintenance" and choose "New consistency check".  Provide a name then click Next, make sure "References to external namespaces" is selected and click Next, then select "Save and run once" and press Finish. When you run it, select "Find and fix". This will look for users who no longer exist in the external namespace (ie they have been deleted) and will clear up any content they own.

MF.
